Jaipur, India — hand-knotting rugs since 2011.
Jagdamba Rugs has manufactured premium hand-knotted rugs and carpets from Jaipur since 2011 — starting as a small workshop and growing into a manufacturing partner for bulk suppliers and private-label brands across India, the USA and Russia.
Every piece begins with pure Afghan wool and premium silk, selected and tested before production even starts. That discipline — testing the material first, then checking every knot again during finishing — is the whole philosophy in one sentence: nothing reaches a customer that hasn't been checked more than once.
We still weave the way we did in 2011 — by hand, on a vertical loom, one knot at a time — because for a rug that's meant to last decades, there isn't a faster way that's actually better.
Material tested first, every knot checked again during finishing.
Pure Afghan wool and premium silk, tested for quality before a single thread is spun.
Small-batch dye baths, matched carefully to each design's palette.
Every knot tied by hand on a vertical loom — a 9×12 rug takes six to eight weeks to complete.
Every rug is checked again during finishing, thread by thread, before it ever leaves the studio.
